The world première of Blood Rose. Oscar Wilde's short story, The Nightingale and the Rose, receives an imaginative adaptation here in Mark Glentworth's new chamber opera with libretto by Carolyn Herail. As a composer who has written music for many of Steven Berkoff's theatrical productions, this project represents a new direction for Mark. Combining his sense of drama and ability to connect emotionally with text, he has produced music which is both moving and dramatic. This beautiful and engaging short story touches on many things before its tragic conclusion. TICKETS £15 (£12*)
