Do you know what ‘success’ means to you in your artistic career, or are you working to someone else’s definition? Are you choosing where you will be in 5 years or allowing yourself to drift and hope for the best?
Wherever you are in your career – early stage, changing course, moving to the next level – knowing what you want to achieve isn’t always immediately clear. Then once you know, how do you keep on track?
If you want to do some planning for your art practice which doesn’t involve spreadsheets, business jargon or other peoples’ ideas of what you “should” be doing, this is for you!
In this participatory workshop, creative coach, author and ArtCan board member, Deborah Henry-Pollard, will take you through a series of exercises to begin the process of planning the next stages of your career. She uses personal experience, case studies and relevant examples to show the benefits of creating a vision for yourself, including self motivation, engaging others and keeping focus.
We will start with the big picture and bring you right down to getting into action now, covering:
- what visioning is and the point of it in your creative career
- creating your own 5 year vision for artistic success
- using your vision to create your road map
- identifying your key goals for the next 12 months
- identifying your first actions to kickstart your plan
You will go away with your own clear vision; key goals and next actions.
This will be light touch coaching combined with practical and participatory exercises – please bring pen and paper!
