May Orchestral Concert Southwark Sinfonietta
The Southwark Sinfonietta is a local chamber orchestra conducted by Rupert Bond, which gives three concerts a year. Each concert typically consists of a symphony by Haydn, Mozart or Beethoven together with a concertante piece and overture. On this occasion young bassoonist Leo Jemison is the soloist in Mozart’s Concerto. The concert also includes Boyce’s Symphony No. 4, Franck’s Panis Angelicus and Elgar’s Ave Verum (with the choir of St. John’s) and concludes with Mozart’s Symphony No. 36, K. 425.
