Unfolding
Unfolding draws inspiration from spring: a season that arrives quietly and persistently, even in the aftermath of long winters.
Created and performed by a group of local women, the choreography reflects on hope as a form of strength, and on togetherness as a tender, embodied act of resistance.
In a time shaped by conflict and tension, the work centres the power of bodies choosing to gather, support one another, and move forward together. The movement language evokes the preparation of ground: listening, rooting, reaching, and slowly rising. Here, strength appears as endurance, care, and shared weight. Like new growth pushing through hardened earth, the movers join forces to find light, rebuild energy, and imagine what it means to begin again.
