Dulwich Festival Flash Fiction Competition 2024: Entry Instructions

Online Entries

Click here to access the form and submit your entry. If you haven’t used the submit website before you will be asked to register.

In your account you will be able to see all the entries you have made.

You will be able to update your contact details at any time by logging in. You will also be able to send messages related to your entry.

Before you upload your entry make sure you have read the entry instructions and agree the rules of participation – failure to comply may result in disqualification.

The title of your flash fiction MUST also be the file name of your uploaded document.

If your entry is untitled, please use the first seven words of the entry as the file name.

Please do not include your name in the file title or your work will be disqualified.

You can enter up to three separate entries.

Once your file has been received and collected by the organisers you will receive an email acknowledgement.

Judging

  • The entries are judged anonymously.
  • The judges’ decision is final and no individual correspondence can be entered into.
  • Judges are unable to comment on individual entries.
  • Judging is fair and unbiased.
  • The Dulwich Festival reserves the right to change the panel of judges without notice.
  • Winner’s will be published on www.dulwichfestival.co.uk after the prize ceremony.

Copyright

Worldwide copyright of each entry remains with the author, but the Dulwich Festival will have the unrestricted right to publish the winning and highly commended Flash Fiction stories in a winners’ anthology or in a reading at an event organised by the Dulwich Festival and in any relevant promotional material including press releases.

Prizes

The Dulwich Festival will award the following prizes:
1st Prize £150, 2nd Prize £75 and 3rd Prize £25 will be identified at the discretion of the judges.
The winning flash fiction stories may be published in an anthology at the discretion of the Dulwich Festival Management Team.
The Dulwich Festival reserves the right to amend these rules where it is deemed necessary to do so. Any changes to the rules will be posted on the Dulwich Festival website.

Results

  • Winners will be notified by email.
  • The Prize giving will take place on Saturday 11th May at Kingswood House, Dulwich, London.
  • The 2024 results will be posted on the Dulwich Festival website.
